Local Health Club Owner Exercises Her Right to Fight the Disease
New developments in breast cancer prevention and treatment are discovered every year. Research has been successful because of the fundraising efforts of grassroots organizations around the country. Two major discoveries: regular exercise decreases the risk of breast cancer and increases your survival rate if you are diagnosed with breast cancer.
Michelle Logan, owner of Richmond Balance, a health club in Shockoe Bottom, has been touched by breast cancer like so many others. Because of this, she is an avid supporter of breast cancer research and is a member of the Massey Alliance at Virginia Commonwealth University.
In October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Michelle is bringing Richmond Balance on board to support the efforts to fight cancer through research. New members who join Richmond Balance during the month of October can know that a portion of their membership fees go to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. Each new member will be able to make their contribution in honor or in memory of someone in their life that inspires them to support breast cancer research.
Year-round support for breast cancer research is important. Richmond Balance invites the community to do something healthy for themselves and their loved ones this October, and help Richmond Balance fight breast cancer in the process.
