As part of our mission of educating and empowering women, we embrace the opportunity to support women as they grow in their careers and their businesses. One way we can do this is by publishing the latest and greatest news of local companies and the women who own them, run them, work in them, and support them. Such great news not only promotes, it also inspires!

Although we don't currently have space to include all of these press releases in print, we can certainly find plenty of room online!

If you have news that you would like to share with V readers, you can send us a publication-ready press release and images to us for inclusion in our print and/or online magazine.

Please follow the following format in sending your news:

• The press release should be written like an article - in third person (not "you" or "me" or "I"). Even if it's your business, remove yourself and write as if you were a fly on the wall!
• The article can be between 200-700 words.
• Make sure you're writing "news" - something new and noteworthy, not just a promotional piece for your business.
• Quotes are always good - from those involved in the business or from customers and clients.
• Images (optional) should be low-res .jpgs, suitable for web.
• Please limit news to items that would be of interest to V readers.
• We will edit articles as needed.

Please also note that if you would like to guarantee an article in print, you can purchase an "advertorial."  These articles can be tailored to full page, half page, or quarter page. We can provide a writer and photographer, or you can provide the copy and photo yourself. They are marked as "advertisements," but capture the attention of readers much like editorial.
