Local businesses are partnering with the Retail Merchants Association, encouraging consumers to Think. Shop. Buy. Local.

V Magazine for Women encourages readers to support local merchants, including

Consider how you can be an active participant in supporting Central Virginia.

Think:

• You can directly support your local economy in ways great and small.
• Your local businesses contribute more to the community.
• More of your dollars stay in the community.
• More jobs stay in the community.

Shop:

• You can find anything you need locally.
• You receive superior service in our community.
• You develop relationships locally.
• You can find affordable prices in our community.

Buy:

• For every $1 spent at local businesses, 45¢ is reinvested locally. Non-local purchases keep, at most, 15¢ in your local community.
• Local businesses value, respect and appreciate your patronage.
• Your community relies on its businesses & services.
• More tax dollars go to schools and roads in your community.

Local:

Join the movement! Take the pledge to show your support and pick up a
“Think. Shop. Buy. Local” sticker at any of the participating businesses listed on the program web site, ThinkShopBuyLocal.com.

V's Promotional Package:

V will post “Think Shop Buy Local” information and participating client information in the front of the print magazine and on a featured, dedicated page online at www.MyVMagazine.com. In print and online, clients receive their logo, 100-character description of their business with contact information, and web address (linked to client web site in the e-zine) for only $40 per month (3 month minimum, $120 total). “Think Shop Buy Local” promotion will run through December.
