Look a Little Closer
by Doreen Washington
Ladies, have you looked a little closer - closer into the woman that you have become, the woman that made it past the pain of circumstances and disappointments, the woman that saw life as unfulfilled? Look a little closer. You are not the same woman you used to be - you’re stronger, more resilient and you have a brand new life in you - look a little closer.
Your spirit has been renewed; you have faith in something instead of nothing, your friends see a brand new you - nothing interfering with the change in you - look a little closer. The woman that you once were wasn’t pleasure and your hurt appeared to all that crossed you. You were unforgiving, envious, and desperate for change, showing signs of being bruised, crushed and beaten to your very core. You are not the same woman you used to be. Will you look a little closer? You have a brand new life in you. You have climbed up those stairs when another was behind you desperate to pull you down as you watched them attempt to do so - but you climbed them anyway making your way to the top - look a little closer.
You are not the woman you used to be. You have decided to forgive, to love the unlovable and speak life to those you once wished to curse. Your course has changed, your perception has changed – look a little closer, you’re not the same woman you used to be.
You have decided to take the high road desiring to bring others with you instead of standing alone. Look a little closer - you are not the woman you used to be. You are better, stronger and wiser - a brand new life in you - look a little closer. We Are Woman!
