Matters Of The Heart
by Doreen Washington
Our most prized possession is “matters of the heart.” We pay very little attention to things of the heart, but our hearts are the most widely affected area of our being and directs us to most of our decisions. Without matters of the heart, we wouldn't feel love, hate, anger, sensitivity, compassion or a host of other feelings. It all begins with the heart. Everything affects our heart, ultimately becoming matters of the heart. Our relationships become matters of the heart, our jobs or employers and employees become matters of the heart, our families and friends becomes matters of the heart and our ambitions and destinies also are matters of the heart. We may believe that we have adapted to being heartless - this is also a matter of the heart.
Some would say that rubies, diamonds, money and gold are some of our most prized possessions, but the heart - it is forever with us; forever controlled by what we allow to affect it and will harbor and hold on to things for a lifetime. The heart will feel the emotions from memories of old. Matters of the heart can dictate our joy, strength and our ability to bounce back from hard times. It can speak to us and direct us to love, forgive and start fresh.
Ladies, what's the matter with your heart? Are you guarding it from the things that will take the very life away from you or are you allowing it to run out of control where anything can make its way in? You only have one heart and one life to live - protect your heart and allow good things to live there. It's up to you! How valuable are those matters of your heart? We can settle matters of the heart today! We Are Woman.
