WINTERGREEN RESORT ANNOUNCES WOMEN’S SKI CLINICS FOR 2010
WINTERGREEN, Va. (September 23, 2009) – Wintergreen Resort
, located high atop Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains and touted as one of the most thrilling winter playgrounds in the mid-Atlantic, has announced a series of women’s ski clinics for the 2010 season.
On four Fridays (January 22 and 29, February 5 and 19) Wintergreen will offer clinics geared for women who want to improve their skiing and riding skills. Each session is $95, runs from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm and includes lunch. Equipment rental and lift ticket are not included. The package of four Friday clinics is $350, which includes all instruction and lunches.
The final weekend, February 19-21, has been designated as the Women’s Head Ski/Ride Clinic, a weekend workshop offering high quality skiing and riding clinics, workshops, dining and social networking for women of all ages. All clinics and instruction are taught by PSIA Certified women instructors and additionally directed by world champion skier, Alison Gannett (www.alisongannett.com). This champion extreme big mountain freeskier, competitive endurance mountain biker, and global warming consultant has spent her life dedicated to solutions to global warming. Her goal is to raise awareness of the problems and solutions to global warming, through action sports and media.
The Grand Finale Weekend Women’s Seminar is $350 per person. The final weekend, plus the four Friday clinics, is packaged at a price of $650. Seminar participants are also eligible for special resort-wide discounts, access to latest HEAD ski and snowboard demo equipment for use skiing/riding (participants will need to provide own boots) and discount lodging reservations (reference your participation in the Women's Ski Clinic).
