Think your age would prevent you from pursuing this adventure? No way! You can begin to log flight time at age 16 and solo at 17. And many people learn to fly in their 70s!

Picture yourself flying over the local area at the flight controls. Most area airports have flight schools where you can book a Discovery Flight which will put you in the left seat (pilot's seat) with a licensed instructor to guide you. Think your fear of heights would prevent this great experience? Actually many pilots have a fear of heights when looking out upper story windows/balconies/mountain sides etc. but somehow being in a plane is "different" and they do not experience that fear. Try it, see for yourself.

There is a ready-made support group of other women pilots eager to help you as you go through the process of learning to fly.

The Ninety-Nines (International Organization of Women Pilots) have all been there, done that and would love to hear your experiences and cheer you on.
