Since my sister is 13 years my senior, she first became a mother when I was only 10. When I learned I was expecting twins 15 years after that, she was an invaluable source of information to me.

I remember my fatigued state a few months into my  new motherhood experience, asking my sister when I might expect to sleep through the night. She replied quite nonchalantly, "Oh, maybe when they're in college."

From babes in arms to tassles and mortarboards - and even the important times before and after that - motherhood is a never-ending job, full of challenges and rewards, worries and joys. Even the most experienced mother, or the one who has been trained professionally in skills that relate to motherhood, can welcome the camaraderie, support, and insights from others.

In Moms Matters, we hope to provide all mothers with wisdom and resources to make their experience more successful, enjoyable, and rewarding. As we build this department, feel free to share your own insights, as your words might be the ones that touch another mother's heart!
