Gilbane Restaurant Walk, 5 Years Strong
The 5th annual Gilbane Restaurant Walk will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010. This year the restaurant walk will benefit the Hospital Hospitality House of Richmond.
The Gilbane Restaurant Walk will feature buffets from local Richmond resturants including Cha Cha’s Cantina, Current, Europa, The Lucky Buddha, and The Tobacco Company.
The Project Engineers Peer Group of Gilbane Building Company has spearheaded this charitable event for the past 5 years, planning all aspects of the Restaurant Walk including coordinating the participating restaurants, securing sponsorships, and selling individual tickets.
To date, over $70,000 has been raised for the Hospital Hospitality House and a total of 1,600 patrons have enjoyed this outing while donating to this worthy cause.
The Hospital Hospitality House is the premier Richmond area provider of lodging and non-medical support services for families in medical crisis and is the largest hospitality house in the country that operates on a donations-only basis.
Since 1984, the House has served over 110,000 people and has helped facilitate access to specialized medical care for those who due to distance, transportation, or financial concerns would not normally be able to obtain specialized medical care from MCV, the Veterans Hospital, or other Richmond area hospitals.
It is not to late to RVSP, tickets are $30 per person ($35 after August 20) and sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, call the Hospital Hospitality House at (804) 828-6901 or visit their web site at www.hhhrichmond.org.
