Diversity, Discussion and Desserts

When: Tuesdays, Nov. 22, Nov. 29, Dec. 6, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Where: Richmond Public Library, 101 East Franklin St.

Enjoy desserts while VCU international students and Professor Audrey Short lead a discussion and share stories from their home countries. Nine students from seven countries will give presentations on their cultures, traditions and holidays from around the world. By attending these events, patrons will help the students to improve their English speaking skills and discuss cultural topics in an informal setting. The events are free and open to the public. Call the main library to reserve your seat--804-646-7223. Become a part of a diverse learning group and “travel” around the world with international university students from VCU. Learn about our world neighbors and help these students practice their English and discuss cultural topics including languages, music, arts, and food, in an informal setting.
