Cashmere Donates to Fund Breast Cancer Awareness
Cline Cellars and Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) are proud to announce a new partnership that will provide substantial funding to LBBC in support of the organization's mission to empower all women affected by breast cancer.
In addition to financial support, Cline will raise awareness for LBBC by participating in national and regional fundraising events, and co-marketing the organization with its red blended wine Cline Cashmere.
Cline researched many charities before choosing LBBC for their stellar financial accountability and dedication to providing concrete support and education to all women affected by breast cancer. By using only 11% of all donations for fundraising and administration, LBBC earned its prestigious four star rating on Charity Navigator for outstanding financial responsibility and commitment to service.
"One of the reasons we reached out to LBBC was because of the scope and breadth of the services it provides to women affected by breast cancer and their families," said Nancy Cline, owner at Cline Cellars. "We were immediately taken by the nuanced care and attention to detail that LBBC brings to every program that carries its name – from national conferences to teleconferences to the LBBC website to the Survivors' Helpline. LBBC provides these services at little to no cost. We know that our financial commitment to LBBC will allow them to continue their mission and to reinforce Cline's solidarity and commitment to women affected by this disease," she said.Jean Sachs, MSS, MLSP and CEO of Living Beyond Breast Cancer said, "Cline Cellars will donate $25,000 to LBBC and will market the partnership on packaging, point-of-purchase display and advertising for the specialty wine, Cashmere, timed to correspond with the kick-off of the LBBC 20th Anniversary Celebration beginning in October. I can't begin to describe how excited we are to have a company with the prestige and market respect of Cline Cellars as a partner for our 20th anniversary!"
The winery has given over $150K to breast cancer charities since 2004 when the Cline Cashmere Giving Program began. While donations are always made independent of wine sales, Cashmere is symbolic of the company's support for those affected by breast cancer. The wine itself is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre dubbed Cashmere for its velvety smooth, rich mouth-feel.
