Modern-day slavery, otherwise known as human trafficking, not only exists but  has become more horrific and widespread than you can imagine. Human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry in the world, as well as, the fastest growing. Victims of human trafficking are forced into labor or sexual exploitation. This injustice not only occurs in foreign countries, but it is also occurring in communities across the United States. It is happening in your own backyard.

To help shed light on what human trafficking really is, Anastasis International LLC in partnership with Mt. Gilead Full Gospel Int'l Ministries, is hosting a free community awareness event entitled Exposure Voices. The event will be held on Saturday, January 15th, 2011 starting at 10 a.m. The venue for the event will be Mt. Gilead Full Gospel Int'l Ministries, 2501 Mt. Gilead Blvd, Richmond VA. The event is free to the public, but registration is required by visiting this link.

This community awareness event will include a screening of the documentary film, 'Playground', by The Nest Foundation. Following the film will be responses from Polaris Project, as well as local law enforcement.
