CIRCLE CENTER 2010 BOOMER BALL-SPIRIT OF WOODSTOCK LIVES ON!

Circle Center Day Care presents its Fourth Annual Boomer Ball on Friday, April 16, 2010, 7:00 – 11:00 PM at Willow Oaks Country Club, 6228 Forest Hill Avenue, Richmond, VA 23225. Tickets are $65 per person, includes one drink, available at 804-355-5717. oday, most of those who attended Woodstock are members of the generation known as “baby boomers”. They had no idea they would also be the first generation to take care of their parents longer than their parents took care of them. Every 7.5 seconds, another boomer turns 50. In 2011, 10,000 baby boomers will turn 65 each day. 70% of the caregivers (estimated at 66 million people) in America care for an older adult, usually aging parents or relatives. Many (known as the “sandwich generation”) also simultaneously care for their children or grandchildren. Circle Center Adult Day Services honors the baby boomers at our Fourth Annual BOOMER BALL which benefits the older adults for whom baby boomers care. Monday through Saturday, Circle Center Adult Day Services provide cost-effective individualized non-residential fun, health care and social support for older adults so their caregivers can go to work and get some free time. The older mind and body are kept active with Montessori-based cognitive games for dementia patients to art classes, discussions, music groups and wellness programs. The cognitive and social stimulation that Circle Center provides decreases isolation and depression, can delay admission to or prevent the necessity for assisted living facilities and nursing homes, and help families live together longer. Circle Center goes way beyond traditional “day care”, and offers a full day of activities of everything from medication management and nursing care, exercise and personal care at a fraction of the cost of in-home, assisted living or nursing home care.

The 2010 Boomer Ball celebrates the spirit of Woodstock: peace, love, and unity. Delicious food and dancing with NRG KRYSYS. Start the evening with our Heads or Tails raffle for a Nintendo Wii entertainment system. Champagne toasts. Chocolate fountain. Freezeframe Photobooth. Live and silent auctions. Vintage Harleys. A full night of fun and excitement you'll remember for a long time! Curt Autry of NBC-12 is our Master of Ceremonies. Stokes McCune of the Church Hill Irish Festival is our auctioneer.
