CIEE, Council International Educational Exhange,is a in non-profit provider of international education since 1947. CIEE has been placing high school exchange students in Richmond and thesurrounding area for nearly 10 years due to Becky Bell,a volunteer local coordinator and other volunteers in the area.  She and her family have hosted many students from all over the world.  Becky has had the pleasure of finding good host families for nearly 300 students from various countries.  CIEE works with students from over 55 countries each being screened academically and socially.  All the students have studied English, provide their spending money and health insurance and participate in school, family and volunteering.

Families consist of single parents, single adults, parents with small and/or teenage children and empty nesters. The experience of sharing and learning cultures is fantastic.  Many host families remain friends with the students for years.  CIEE also offers opportunities for US students to study abroad
