Car Care Tips

Spring Arbor of Salisbury and Buford Road Pharmacy presented a seminar entitled "The Nuts & Bolts of Maintaining Your Car" on Tuesday, March 30, at Spring Arbor in Midlothian.
Pamela Adams from The Laurels of Willow Creek spoke to a spirited group of women about things they can do - and not do - to keep their cars in top shape, saving money and improving safety. The casual group listened carefully, and also had plenty of questions - and plenty of laughs. Pamela's tips included:
- Be sure to use parking brakes on an incline - not doing so can damage your car.
- Don't ride your brakes or make a habit of stopping at the last minute.
- Pay attention to the sounds your car makes, and act on odd sounds to find problems before they get too big.
- Don't let your gas tank get too low.
- Park in the shade during the summer. Besides helping the temperature stay cooler when you get in, it ultimately helps you conserve fuel.
- Don't drive distracted! As women, we like to multitask, but multitasking in the car greatly increases the risk of accidents.
