Work It, Girl! - Women's Organizations

The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce introduces an exciting new quarterly series for area women.

The idea behind this new series is to create a unique, inspiring and relatable experience for women, building a community and network for smart, sassy, extraordinary local women. Each quarter we will present one extraordinary woman with a powerful story to share, and provide an opportunity for attendees to get engaged and foster dialogue between smart, motivated women attending the event.

The first event features Joan Barnes, founder of Gymboree. Joan began her journey with a simple idea that grew into a business empire. The fast track of that business ultimately took its toll, and only later was Joan able to look back and really evaluate the true cost of her success. Now dedicated to a new passion and lifestyle, she starts her day in yogi fashion with a completely different view of success.

You can read more about Joan in the September issue of V Magazine for Women.

This first Extraordinary Women's Exchange is
