Women’s Networking Organization Raises over $13,000 for Race for the Cure

On Thursday, May 14, representatives from the Network of Enterprising Women (NEW) turned in $13,447 to the Susan G. Komen office in support of the 2010 Race for the Cure. Given the decline in fundraising this year NEW had set a goal of $5,000. However, after numerous fundraising events and having participants in the race itself NEW blew that goal right through the roof. “NEW is an unbelievable group of women, who banned together for a cause that we all hold close to our hearts.” The generosity that these women have shown is overwhelming and we are proud to have been able to do our part”, Rene Haines, President of NEW.

The Network of Enterprising Women is a group of 100+ women who create and provide a supportive environment for all members, which will foster and enhance productivity, effectiveness, self-expression and accomplishments in their respective fields. If you are interested in obtaining more information on the Network of Enterprising Women or attending one of the monthly luncheons feel free to check out the website at www.networkofenterprisingwomen.org.
