RealEstateSkirts.com is First Installment of Networking Online Community

Monday, July 27, 2009: Skirts Networking, a nationwide social and professional networking organization for women working in the field of real estate, has introduced its first installment of online community solutions with a blog at RealEstateSkirts.com.

Primary to the group’s mission, the blog is a first step in gathering together women in real estate, no matter their location or assignment in the industry. Hungry to connect and eager to learn from those around them, this audience of female professionals working in real estate currently has no true online solution to meet and grow through interaction with peers and experts. RealEstateSkirts.com aims to close that gap.

Blog entries explore and expand on the company’s mission of “Business. Body, Mind & Spirit.” Additional features include a calendar of industry events, book club and monthly newsletter. Later in 2009, Skirts Networking is scheduled to launch SkirtsInDirt.com, a sister site to the blog that will arm members with additional tools and resources such as webinars and networking groups. Founder Kathi King envisions the entire collection of solutions as a network that brings its members personal enrichment and professional improvement. Says King,

“We represent a collective passion to be the global professional and social networking organization for women working in the real estate industry. Through the power of community and the tools of social media, women of all walks and ways will be connected to their own greatest potential both professionally and personally. We will create bridges together where none were before, and weave a tapestry of incredible women who alone are quite capable but together make magic!”

Skirts Networking was founded by Kathi King, a veteran of the real estate services industry. Kathi’s experience includes time at Realtor.com as Senior Vice President Broker Services, and Fidelity National Real Estate as a Senior Vice President of Major Accounts. In addition, she served as Senior Vice President at Harmon Homes, Single Advertisers Magazines (SAMS), and Vice President of Sales at Your Home Magazine. Most recently, she has enjoyed success as a consultant, assisting such well-known clients as VoicePad, Dee Signs and Rainmaker Marketing with sales and service. Kathi is known as a natural at networking, and she is especially adept at connecting professionally and personally with people from all walks.

Joining Kathi to help build the Skirts Networking dream is Valerie Mercurio, formerly Vice President, Strategic and Interactive Marketing at CENTURY 21 Real Estate; Natalie Diekmann, formerly Western Regional Real Estate Advertising Manager with The Wall Street Journal; and Ernie Bottom, formerly Sales Support Manager with Cyberhomes.com.
